Island Pitch LLC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
This statement applies to islandpitch.in — the Island Pitch community impact site. Each Island Pitch product has its own accessibility statement; this one covers islandpitch.in only.
Conformance Target
We target Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This is an ongoing effort, and we self-assess our conformance regularly.
What We Do
- Semantic HTML — the site uses semantic elements throughout, including landmarks, headings, lists, and links, so assistive technologies can convey page structure accurately.
- Skip-to-content link — a skip navigation link is provided in the site layout so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation.
- Image accessibility — character images include appropriate alt text or are marked with
aria-hiddenwhen decorative. - Responsive design — the layout is mobile-first and adapts to a wide range of viewport sizes and zoom levels.
- Static site generation — built with Next.js 16 and Tailwind CSS, the site is statically generated for fast load times and predictable rendering.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full conformance, the following areas have known limitations:
- Instagram community content — embedded Instagram images may lack detailed alt text because the source captions do not always describe the visual content sufficiently.
- HubSpot blog content — the blog grid links to externally hosted HubSpot articles. The accessibility of that content depends on the source platform and is outside our direct control.
Assessment Method
The accessibility of islandpitch.in has been self-assessed by Island Pitch LLC. We evaluate the site using a combination of automated tools, manual keyboard and screen reader testing, and code review.
